Axelle Vertommen (1992) is an interior architect and furniture designer from Antwerp. After completing a postgraduate in Furniture Design at VOMO – Thomas More University of Applied Sciences, she develops her expertise through various expériences, such as upholster assistant at Cover & Couch. She started as a freelance designer for various studios and is now working at Dries Otten. Focused on detailing, her furniture pieces are characterized by the contrast in colours and materials. She’s inspired by everyday objects and extraordinary architecture from modernism and postmodernism.
